FAQ

How do you remove a Google review?

We file each review you choose with Google under its own content policy, and Google decides. You pay for the ones that come down.

We file each Google review you choose with Google under its Maps user-generated content policy, whose headings include Fake engagement, Rating manipulation, Harassment, Personal information and Off-topic. Google reviews each filing and makes the final decision. Google is most of our work: 2,208 of 2,420 confirmed removals in TrustReviews data, October 2026.

First, you connect your Google Business Profile in the TrustOS portal. Search for it by name or paste a Google Maps link; a service-area business with no public address works too. We read every review on the profile at once and show you each one rated 3 stars or less. Every 1-star review is selected by default, and you can leave any out or add 2 and 3 star reviews. You also choose how many removals you want, and we stop when that many have come down. If you have 10 or more bad reviews, the app offers a free 15-minute planning call with your account manager.

Next, you read and accept the terms in the app. They list the reviews, the price, the most you can be charged and when a charge happens. Nothing is filed until you accept. How the cost works explains the payment side.

Then we take a screenshot of each review as the record of what was there, and our filing team files each one with Google under its policy. A review that does not break the policy usually stays up. Your portal shows each review as Waiting to be sent, Being worked on, Removed, Could not be removed, or Stopped. Some removals arrive months after filing, so we follow every filing until Google decides (what decides the timing).

A person checks every removal before we count it; our software never marks a review removed by itself. When a review comes down, we email you the review and its before-removal screenshot. If Google later restores it, we file it again at no charge and never bill twice for the same review.

We do not contact the reviewer, ask Google who they are, or use methods that break Google’s rules, because removals won that way can be reversed later. Filing many reviews on one profile has shown no penalty in our data. If you would rather report reviews yourself, Google’s report page explains how to flag a review and track it in the Reviews Management Tool, and our step-by-step guide covers that route.
