Why one bad Indeed company review matters.
Job seekers read your Indeed Company Page before they apply, and Indeed’s help page for employers says they rely on authentic feedback. Your Indeed company rating sets the Reputation pillar of Indeed’s Brand Score, a 1 to 100 measure of your employer brand on Indeed and Glassdoor. On 10 August 2026 Indeed changed CEO approval ratings to use only the last five years of data (Company Pages Updates).
Glassdoor LLC merged into Indeed, Inc. on 1 July 2026 (Glassdoor’s summary of changes to its terms), but the two sites still show separate reviews. A report on Indeed does nothing to the same person’s review on Glassdoor. Glassdoor review removal explains how Glassdoor handles reports.
In the Indeed work we have done, the usual pattern is a group of reviews from former staff about workplace culture. Answers on the company’s Q&A tab fall under the same guidelines and can be reported the same way.
What we file under Indeed’s own rules.
Indeed removes Indeed company reviews that break these rules. An Indeed company review that breaks none of them usually stays up.
Not a place to report misconduct
Indeed’s guidelines say Company Pages are not for reporting crimes, making claims of illegal activity or sharing internal company details. A review that calls the owner a criminal or accuses the company of wage theft falls here.
One review or answer per person, per company
Indeed allows reviews and answers only from people who work or have worked for the company, and one each per company. A review from someone who never worked for you, or a second review from the same person, breaks this rule.
Personal information and non-public people
Reviewers may mention people only in relation to the workplace. Indeed does not allow identifying information about non-public individuals, or personal details about someone outside their role at the company.
Threatening, abusive or defamatory statements
Indeed does not allow unlawful, fraudulent, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, libelous or defamatory statements, sexual, ethnic, racial or other discriminatory slurs, or obscene material.
Claims of fact, calls to act and off-topic content
Indeed asks reviewers to share their experience, not make factual claims about the company. It also does not allow suggestions for actions against the company, reviews of your products or services, or irrelevant content.
Review integrity
Indeed may remove a review if there is evidence the reviewer was paid, or forced or pressured to post it.
What stays up, and what we do not do
Indeed says reviews are not removed unless they break its content guidelines. An honest review from a real employee about pay, hours or management usually stays up, and you can answer it with an employer response. We never contact the reviewer and never ask Indeed who wrote a review. No one can guarantee every review comes down, because Indeed makes the final decision on each one.
How to report Indeed company reviews yourself.
Indeed has no delete button for employers. Only the person who wrote a review can delete it. You can report a review, and Indeed’s team decides whether it breaks the guidelines.
- 1Open your Indeed Company Page and find the review on the Reviews tab (Managing Company Reviews).
- 2Select the three dots on the review, then Report review (Indeed’s reporting steps).
- 3Choose the reason closest to the guideline the review breaks, then select Submit.
- 4Indeed reviews the content and removes it if it breaks the guidelines. Indeed says “We won’t update you about the outcome”, so check the review on your page.
- 5If the review stays up, answer it with Add a Comment. Indeed’s Company Reviews Policy says not to threaten legal action and not to try to work out who the author is.
- 6If the review is about a different company, ask Indeed to move it to the right page. Only an employer with a claimed Company Page can send that request (Managing Company Reviews).

How Indeed removal works, step by step.
Paste the link to each Indeed review, or each answer on your Q&A tab, into the chat. We work from the links you send; nothing of ours reads your Company Page.
Your account manager confirms the price and the terms for each review with you before anything is filed. You pay for the ones that come down.
We keep a screenshot of each review as it was. Our filing team files each one with Indeed under the guideline it breaks. Indeed does not tell the person who reported a review what it decided, so we follow each filing on your Company Page.
A person checks your Company Page before we count a review as removed. We email you the review and its before-removal screenshot. If a removed review comes back, we file it again at no charge.
We file all your bad reviews.
You pay for the ones that come down. On Google, you see the price and accept the terms in the app before anything is filed. For other sites, your account manager agrees the price with you first. No one can guarantee every review comes down, because the platform makes the final decision on each one.
Indeed removal, an example.
After one caregiver was let go, four one-star reviews appeared together. Two named the scheduling manager and described her family, and one accused the owner of stealing wages. The rating fell from 3.8 to 3.1 and applications for open caregiver jobs dropped by about 40 percent.
We filed each review with Indeed under the guideline it broke: personal details about a non-public person, one review per person, and claims of illegal activity. Indeed removed three and redacted one, and the rating returned to 3.7.
Real Google reviews we’ve had removed.
Each one now reads “This review is no longer available.” Business names are blurred for privacy.

What every client gets.
Every review tracked
The TrustOS portal shows each review as Waiting to be sent, Being worked on, Removed, Could not be removed, or Stopped.
An email before any charge
Before we charge for a removal, we email you the review and the amount. If something looks wrong, reply to that email.
Refiled if it comes back
A platform can restore a review it removed. If that happens, we file it again at no charge, and we never bill you twice for the same review.
Daily monitoring
We read every Google profile you connect about once a day. One email lists the new 1 and 2 star reviews across all your profiles. It comes with your first removal.
A named account manager
One person looks after your account and answers your emails and texts, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET.
A planning call for 10 or more
If you have 10 or more bad reviews, the app offers a free 15-minute planning call with your account manager.

Questions about removing Indeed company reviews
Can I find out who wrote an Indeed review?
Usually not. Indeed says reviews are anonymous and it does not share the reviewer’s account details with the company. It may share them when a subpoena, search warrant or court order requires it. Its policy for employers also says not to try to work out who the author is. We never ask Indeed who wrote a review, and we never contact the reviewer.
Can Indeed redact a review instead of removing it?
Indeed’s help page for employers, Managing Company Reviews, says reviews that break its content guidelines can be removed, and that they “may also be redacted (text removed, star rating kept)”. A redacted review keeps its star rating in your average. Indeed’s guidelines for reviewers also say “We don’t edit or change reviews, questions or answers.” Indeed decides what happens to each review it finds in breach.
Can the same person post again after Indeed removes their review?
Yes. Indeed lets a person whose review was removed submit a new review that follows the guidelines. Reviewers cannot edit a review, but they can write an updated one that replaces the original. Each person still gets one review per company, and a new review that breaks the guidelines can be reported the same way.
A review on our Indeed page is about a different company. What can we do?
Ask Indeed to move it. Indeed lets an employer request that a review posted to the wrong Company Page be moved to the right one. Only employers who have claimed their Company Page can send that request.
Glassdoor is now part of Indeed. Does one report cover both sites?
No. Indeed now operates Glassdoor, but the two sites still show separate reviews. Report each review on the site where it was posted. Removing a review on Indeed does not remove the same person’s review on Glassdoor.
What if nothing comes down?
You pay for the ones that come down. The platform decides on each review, and a review it keeps up shows as Could not be removed in your TrustOS portal.
