FAQ

Can you really remove Google reviews?

Yes, when a review breaks Google’s content policy, but only Google can take it down. Honest reviews from real customers, even harsh ones, usually stay up.

Yes, but not in the way many owners expect. No one outside Google can delete a review from a Google Business Profile: not the owner, not us. A review comes down only when Google finds that it breaks the Maps user-generated content policy. We file the reviews you choose with Google under that policy, and Google makes the final decision on each one.

The policy names what Google removes. Under Fake engagement: reviews not based on a real experience, paid reviews, reviews posted from several accounts by one person, and posts on a competitor’s profile to hurt it. Under Rating manipulation: reviews from a conflict of interest, such as a current or former employee or an industry competitor. Other headings cover harassment, hate speech, personal information, off-topic rants, and unsupported accusations of crime or unethical conduct. The Google review policy explained goes through each ground with examples.

The policy also says what stays. Google allows a review that describes a bad experience respectfully, so a real customer’s honest complaint usually stays up. No one can guarantee every review comes down, because Google makes the final decision on each one. See what content we can’t remove.

Our own data shows what removals look like in practice. We hold a copy of 1,170 Google reviews that came down after we filed them (removals confirmed November 2025 to October 2026). 86.6% were one-star, 7.9% two-star and 3.8% three-star. 1 in 3 was more than a year old when we filed it, and the oldest was posted in 2013. 36.8% had an owner reply, 13.1% had photos and 6.8% had no text. The profiles belong to businesses that came to a removal company, so they are not a random sample of Google. The Google review data study has the full figures.

Two more facts for a skeptic. First, Google can restore a review it removed. If that happens, we file it again at no charge and never bill twice for the same review (can removed content come back). Second, some agencies use methods that break Google’s rules, and Google reverses those removals later. We do not use them. We file all your bad reviews. You pay for the ones that come down.
