FAQ

Can you remove negative TikTok videos?

Yes, when the video breaks a TikTok Community Guidelines rule, such as Harassment and Bullying. TikTok decides, and honest criticism usually stays up.

Yes, when the video, comment or account breaks a rule in TikTok’s Community Guidelines, which took effect on September 24, 2026. Only TikTok can take it down, and TikTok decides each report. A harsh video from a real customer about their own visit usually stays up, because the Harassment and Bullying rule allows “criticizing an individual’s content or actions”.

Who the video targets matters. TikTok’s Harassment and Bullying rule allows more critical commentary about public figures than private figures. It defines a public figure as an adult with a significant public role and names a “business leader” as one example. A cashier, technician or receptionist without a public role is a private figure. Hostile or profane language aimed at a private figure makes a video ineligible for the For You feed, and TikTok may remove it when it has more context. TikTok removes doxing whoever the target is.

Other rules cover other attacks. Under Personal Information, TikTok removes a home address, login details, payment details and identity numbers. It removes a phone number or medical details only when sharing them is likely to cause distress, and it generally needs more context for those. Impersonation covers an account that poses as your business. Under Edited Media and AI-Generated Content, a clip cut to change what someone said must carry a label. Our TikTok guide gives each rule and the forms you can use yourself.

TikTok’s enforcement page says content first goes through automated review, and moderators review it again when it gains popularity or is reported. The creator can appeal a removal, and TikTok shows the status of your reports in the in-app Safety Center. A video that TikTok restores after an appeal can be filed again (can removed content come back?).

To have us file, send the link to each video, comment or account. A stitch, duet or repost is a separate post with its own link. Your account manager confirms the price and the terms with you before anything is filed. Our filing team files each item with TikTok under the rule it breaks. We file all the items you choose, and you pay for the ones that come down. We never contact the creator or ask TikTok who runs an account (will you contact the reviewer?).
