Can you remove Reddit posts about a business?
Yes, when the post breaks a sitewide Reddit Rule or the subreddit’s own rules. A post that only criticizes your business, even harshly, usually stays up.

Yes, when the post breaks one of the 8 sitewide Reddit Rules or a rule of the subreddit it sits in. Reddit has two layers of rules. Volunteer moderators enforce each community’s own rules. Reddit admins, who are Reddit employees, enforce the sitewide rules.
Four sitewide rules cover most posts about a business. Rule 3 covers a post that gives an owner’s or employee’s home address, personal phone number or personal Facebook page. Rule 1 covers a post that tells readers to pile negative comments onto a named person, an example in Reddit’s harassment policy. Rule 5 covers an account that poses as your business or a member of your staff. Rule 2 covers votes rigged with several accounts and new accounts made to get around a ban, under the Disrupting Communities policy.
Reddit’s pages also say what does not break the rules. The harassment policy allows “sharing your own personal story about a negative interaction you had” when the poster does not direct others to act. The impersonation policy allows using a company’s name to discuss its products, services or business practices. So a customer’s account of a bad experience, in their own words, usually stays up.
Moderators and admins can do different things. Reddit says a moderator can remove a post from the community’s feed and ban an account from that community. A moderator cannot delete the post from the site, ban the account from Reddit, or make the thread lead to a “not found” page (What’s a moderator?, What mods can’t do). Admins are responsible for the whole platform. Only the author can delete a post, and Reddit says moderators and admins cannot restore a deleted post. Reddit is 3.5% of the items we have removed, mostly posts (TrustReviews data, October 2026). In our Reddit cases, one complaint can spread as comments across several communities, so each post and each comment is a separate item: send us the link to each one. Your account manager confirms the price and the terms with you before anything is filed. Our filing team files the ones you choose with Reddit, Reddit decides, and you pay for the ones that come down. The Reddit page has the full process and the steps to report a post yourself. A removed post can still appear in Google search; Can a removed Reddit post still show on Google? covers that.
