Can you remove a review I already reported?
Yes. You can still choose a review you reported or appealed yourself. Google gives each review one appeal, so tell us what Google decided before we file.

Yes. You can choose a review in the TrustOS portal even if you reported or appealed it yourself first. The portal lists every review of 3 stars or less that we are not already working on. What your own report changes is on Google’s side: the review may have used its one appeal, and Google’s answer tells us what it already decided. This page covers Google, which is about 9 in 10 of our removals.
Google’s report page gives each reported review a one-time appeal in the Reviews Management Tool. You can appeal only after the tool shows “Report reviewed - no policy violation”, and one appeal can hold up to 10 reviews. After an appeal the status reads “Escalated - check your email for updates”, and it keeps that status if Google decides the review stays up. The tool then offers no second appeal for that review. The Google review appeal status guide explains each status.
A refusal answers the report Google checked. It does not change what the review says. Our filing team files each review you choose with Google under the policy that applies to it, for example Fake engagement, or Rating manipulation for a conflict of interest such as a former employee or a competitor (Maps user-generated content policy). A review that is an honest account of a real visit usually stays up, whoever reports it.
Tell your account manager what you reported, the reason you picked, the dates and any email Google sent. That shows whether the review is still pending, refused, or past its appeal. A status of “Decision pending” is not a refusal. Some removals arrive months after filing, so we follow every filing until Google decides.
An earlier report does not put a review out of reach, and an old review can still come down (what decides the timing). Newer reviews are still easier to get removed, so file early. The Review Auto-filer files new reviews of 2 stars or below published in the last 14 days.
You pay for the ones that come down. No one can guarantee every review comes down, because Google makes the final decision on each one. To report a review yourself first, read can’t I remove reviews myself.

Yes. A reply does not stop a removal. Google posts your reply under the review, so when Google removes the review, your reply comes off with it.

No. We never contact the reviewer or ask a platform who they are. We report the review to the platform under its own policy, and the platform decides.
